O Salmo 23 tem sido por gerações lido, memorizado e amado por milhões de corações apaixonados por Deus. Suas palavras tem gerado fé e confiança nos corações tanto de judeus quanto de cristãos.
É um dos meus salmos preferidos. Quando criança memorizei em minha lingua materna. Mais tarde em Ingles e árabe, e nestes dias estou tentando memorizá-lo em alemão.

23 O Senhor é o meu pastor; nada me faltará.
2 Deitar-me faz em pastos verdejantes; guia-me mansamente a águas tranqüilas.
3 Refrigera a minha alma; guia-me nas veredas da justiça por amor do seu nome.
4 Ainda que eu ande pelo vale da sombra da morte, não temerei mal algum, porque tu estás comigo; a tua vara e o teu cajado me consolam.
5 Preparas uma mesa perante mim na presença dos meus inimigos; unges com óleo a minha cabeça, o meu cálice transborda.
6 Certamente que a bondade e a misericórdia me seguirão todos os dias da minha vida, e habitarei na casa do Senhor por longos dias.

4 Und ob ich schon wanderte im finstern Tal, fürchte ich kein Unglück; denn du bist bei mir, dein Stecken und dein Stab trösten mich.

23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. 3 He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
